the only downside is your going to get basically spam comments as in people just commenting for the sake of it to get the download link.

either that or people just wont comment and they will go somewere else, its a good idea to get comments but many people may feel that they are being forced to comment and as other sites dont force them they may think whats the point.

just my 2 cents

Edit : ps i dont need the download link so no need to pm it to me (or whatever method you were/are using)

I really didn't want to get into this situation but there are just too many leechers, spammers will get banned so I wouldn't worry about that.
Moreover the links get public after 10 comments which is not much at all.
